A whole property brought back into useful life
Taylor Road required more than a cosmetic update. The project involved a full internal and external renovation, upgrading the layout, finishes, services and upper-level accommodation while bringing the different trades together under one coordinated delivery plan.

Opening up the existing property
The first stage was to remove tired finishes and expose the existing building fabric. This allowed the team to confirm conditions, identify repairs and organise the sequence for electrical work, plumbing, structural carpentry, insulation and new finishes.

Strengthening floors and opening the upper level
The upper floor and roof-space works required careful investigation and structural carpentry. Existing joists were exposed, strengthened and supplemented to create a dependable base for the refurbished upper accommodation and new circulation.

From dark roof space to practical accommodation
The loft was progressively framed, insulated and prepared for new rooms. Access, floor construction, roof geometry, services and daylight all had to be coordinated so the finished space would feel like part of the house rather than an afterthought.

Electrical, heating and plumbing planned together
A full renovation depends on service routes being agreed before walls and ceilings are closed. Mag.Wires coordinated the electrical installation while plumbing and heating components were integrated with the new kitchen, bathrooms and room layouts.

Turning construction work back into a home
Once the concealed works were complete, M-Plast and Anton McLoughlin delivered the plastering package across the renewed spaces. Joinery, decoration, floor finishes and final electrical work then brought a consistent standard throughout the property.

A clearer and more welcoming first impression
The renovation extended beyond the interior. External presentation, access and surrounding areas were improved so the property’s appearance matched the standard being created inside.

Brighter rooms with a consistent finish
The main living areas were renewed with pale walls, coordinated flooring, dark trim details and improved electrical provision. The result is simple, durable and easy to personalise, with natural light doing much of the work.

A compact layout planned around everyday use
The original kitchen was fully replaced with a sharper, more efficient arrangement. Deep blue cabinetry, white walls and worktops, black accessories and durable flooring create a compact room with a clear visual identity.

Practical rooms with strong material contrast
Bathroom areas were stripped and rebuilt with contemporary sanitaryware, black-framed shower screens, dark wall tiles and simple pale finishes. The specification balances easy maintenance with a confident, modern appearance.

Simple finishes, improved comfort and better light
Bedrooms were renewed with consistent decoration, flooring, heating and electrical details. Rooflights and carefully finished roof slopes bring daylight into the upper rooms and make the converted space feel open and comfortable.

Circulation treated as part of the design
The stair, landing and hallway were not treated as leftover spaces. New balustrade details, dark trims, consistent flooring and a clear route through the property connect the renovated rooms into one complete home.

One managed plan across the whole home
Taylor Road demonstrates the value of managing refurbishment as one connected project. Design information, structural work, trades, services and finishes were sequenced together rather than treated as isolated appointments.

Professional delivery through coordinated responsibility
The project combined architectural input, specialist electrical work, plastering and a wide range of building trades. dB’s role was to coordinate the people, materials and sequence behind the renovation and keep the work moving as one managed package.
