Who is responsible for your information?

dB Construction Projects Ltd is the controller of personal information you provide when you contact us about our services. This notice covers website visits and initial enquiries.

What information is collected?

The enquiry form collects your name, email address and the project details you choose to provide, including telephone number, location, work type, current stage, preferred timing and indicative budget. Correspondence may also include property photographs, drawings and information about access or the proposed work.

Website hosting and delivery services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information and request logs to serve the site and protect it against misuse. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or information about other people unless it is needed for the enquiry and you are authorised to share it.

Why do we use it?

We use enquiry information to respond to you, assess the proposed work, arrange discussions or visits and prepare estimates or quotations. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, our lawful basis is taking those steps at your request. For other enquiries, correspondence and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to potential customers and operating a secure business. Where a legal requirement applies, we rely on that obligation.

Providing your name, email address and a description of the work is necessary to submit the form and receive a useful response. The other project fields help us assess suitability; you can instead contact us by telephone or email.

The enquiry form is not a newsletter sign-up. We do not use automated decision-making to decide whether to accept your project.

Who receives enquiry information?

The current website enquiry form sends submissions through FormSubmit to our company email address. FormSubmit processes the submission to deliver the email; its privacy terms explain its service. Our email and website hosting providers also process information needed to deliver and operate those services.

Relevant staff may review your enquiry. Where necessary to assess or deliver your proposed work, relevant information may be shared with the designers, specialist contractors or suppliers involved. We may also disclose information where required by law or to deal with a legal claim.

Service providers and processing locations

Our website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare delivery infrastructure. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to request the font files. These services can receive technical request information.

Service providers may process information outside the UK. Their processing locations and terms depend on the service. Contact us if you need further information about the providers handling your enquiry or the safeguards applicable to a particular transfer. This notice does not represent that all provider processing takes place in the UK.

How long is information kept?

The retention period depends on why the information is held. We consider whether the enquiry remains active, whether an estimate or quotation is still under discussion, whether the information is needed for a resulting contract, and whether records are needed to meet legal obligations or deal with a complaint or claim. Enquiry information should be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

If an enquiry becomes a project, the relevant correspondence may form part of the project and contractual records. Third-party providers apply their own retention arrangements to information processed in their systems. Contact us to ask about information held in relation to your enquiry.

Cookies, analytics and external links

The current website code does not set advertising cookies or include Google Analytics, advertising pixels or session-recording tools. Hosting or security services may use essential technologies to deliver and protect the site.

Links to project albums, Checkatrade and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy arrangements. Google Search Console provides search-performance reporting; it is not a visitor-tracking script installed on this website.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing or a copy of eligible information in a portable format. Where consent is relied on, you can withdraw it.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact info@dbconstructionprojects.com to exercise your rights or raise a concern. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions, and we may need to verify your identity.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
